Focus is everything. The docking version of the new DICENTIS Multimedia device is built for flexibility: the base provides audio, voting and controls, while the participant supplies the screen with their own tablet (BYOD).
Docking station
- Holds off-the-shelf tablets with a 10-inch or 14-inch display
- USB-C connector to connect and power the tablet; local power supply possible
- Runs the DICENTIS Participant App on Android tablets; iOS support is announced for September 2026
- Tablets can be swapped quickly, so the meeting keeps running
Microphones
- Integrated MEMS array microphone, active whenever no stem microphone is plugged in
- AI algorithms in the array create a virtual stem microphone and capture the voice naturally, even when the speaker turns left or right
- Automatic microphone management with noise reduction
- Optional plug-in stem microphone; it disables the array, and audio processing follows the microphone in use
- Shock mount connection reduces unwanted noise pick-up from the table
Optional stem microphones: DCNM-MICLC (long, cardioid), DCNM-MICLWC (long, wide cardioid), DCNM-MICSC (short, cardioid), DCNM-MICSWC (short, wide cardioid).
Voting and controls
- Five touch/LED buttons: Present, Yes/For/A, No/Against/B, Abstain/C, DNPV/D
- Voting buttons are only visible when required
- Device and microphone button functions are software-configurable based on the assigned role
- Headphone connector with volume buttons that switch off when no headphone is connected
- Language selection via up/down buttons, LEDs lit while a headphone is connected
Accessibility
- Tactile dots for orientation and haptic feedback on button press
- Colour-coded icons and audible beeps during voting
- Login by identification card slot or tap
- Subtitles through third-party integration for hearing-impaired participants
Reliability
- Request to speak and cast votes either from the hardware controls on the base or from the tablet touchscreen
- If the stem microphone fails, the integrated array takes over seamlessly
- Cable redundancy available for both versions
Installation
One base, two setups: flush-mounted into the furniture or placed on top as a table-top unit.
Planning notes
DICENTIS software version 7.0 or higher is required. Each seat needs a participant licence (DCNM-LPP-PE, DCNM-LPPP-P1Y, DCNM-LPPP-S1Y, DCNM-LPU-PE, DCNM-LPUP-P1Y or DCNM-LPUP-S1Y, optionally DCNM-LPSMA-PE). With perpetual licences, DCNM-LPAPP-PE is added for the Participant App. The tablet is not included in the delivery.
